Bikeho - Gate with Battlements

Handcrafted in Northern Germany, Bikeho Wooden Toys are created in the workshops of the Birkenhof community, a social-therapeutic organisations that has supported adults with developmental disabilities since 1953. Skilled craftspeople work alongside dedicated mentors to create beautiful wooden toys that celebrate traditional craftsmanship, meaningful employment and the joy of open-ended play.

Inspired by Waldorf education, Bikeho designs encourage creativity, imagination and storytelling, with each handcrafted piece reflecting the beauty and individuality of natural wood.

Crafted from sustainably grown alder wood, each Bikeho piece is cut by eye, hand-sanded and shaped from a single solid piece of timber. Finished with child-safe, linseed and sunflower oil, the natural grain, colour variations and handcrafted character of the wood are intentionally preserved, making every piece beautifully unique.

Rigorously tested and to meet European EN 71 Toy Safety Standards and CE marked. Finished with child-safe, plant-based linseed and sunflower oils. The entire surface, including barked areas, is safe to handle as all loose parts were meticulously removed.

To preserve the natural beauty of your wooden toy, wipe clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid soaking in water or using harsh cleaning products. Store in a dry place away from prolonged moisture and direct sunlight. As wood is a natural material, subtle changes may occur over time, adding to the unique character of each piece.
