The Grimm’s wooden telephone is a simple old fashioned style telephone a rotary dial for realistic play. Although today there are not too many of this style phone in use, children are presented with a self explanatory toy that immediately appeals, and a moving dial to put their finger in and rotate. Pick up the wooden receiver and talk away to mum!

Materials & Finish

Depending on the design, Grimm’s toys are crafted from sustainably sourced lime wood, alder wood or birch plywood. Finished with non-toxic water-based colour stains and natural plant oils. Each piece retains the beauty of the natural wood grain, marking every toy wonderfully unique. Natural variations in grain, knots and colour are celebrated as part of the wood’s character and are not considered faults.
